Where can i place this coral?

Does this have to be on the sand bed or can i move it up to the middle of the tank? Does it mind med flow and med light?

Low to medium flow same for light depending on what lighting you have

My lights are 2x150 hqi 10ks and 2x130pcs over a 55 gallon, i dont want to bleach it out, i want it on a rock thou thats about 4-6 inches off the sand bed

I would keep that on the sand myself in medium flow.

Okay cool, i wasnt sure i just didnt know what they liked its my first one! hes kinda near a low flow area and doing AWSOME should i move him to higher flow?

If its a trachyphyllia geoffroyi, keep it on the bottom. They do equally well in low or moderate water flow. I keep all of mine 30 inches under t5 and they thrive.
