They were all over the place last year and actually affordable. Now I haven't seen any for sale lately.

I wish I knew, I've talked with people in the know and they say that they are available, but I'm not seeing them ether. I really want one LOL.

I got mine off LiveAquaria back in February and it was stupid expensive 2" for $180 but its what I wanted and they had it.

Post a pic of your blue squamosa.
I was watching LA last year. They would list some at $179, and some for $149. I wished now I would have bought one back then.

I ordered one last week from coral props the only one I found anywhere and will be here Saturday. Little pricey but it's decent size already

Black and whites are everywhere these days and they used to be the hard to find ones

You may have a blue Squamosa but I bet you don't have pink Maxima....

Did you ever see the red one I had?

I want another blue and maybe a green tear drop and I'll get it even if I gotta call that trans shipper myself.

Pink maxi looks pretty neat

They are being cultured, and indeed should be readily available - but unfortunately the farms, wholesalers, distributors, etc all know that people will pay STUPID amounts of money for anything that people say is rare (even if it isn't). If too many are imported at once, they will no longer really be 'rare'. Unfortunately I foresee them trickling in in small quantities pretty much indefinitely.

Yep paid alot for this one BUT I measured the shell and it is 5 inches  This will be the center piece of my clams, and he is going in a 300 so plenty of room to grow.
