I’ve had a cleaner shrimp for a few months now; and I realised 2 days ago that I couldn’t see it anymore where on earth is it gone?

Did the fish eat it?
Did the anemone eat it?
I’m so confused??

Tank inhabitants:

2 cardinals

Is it possible it's molting? You may not see them for a few days.

Possibly the anemone. Have you noticed your ammonia raising? Also do you have a lid on the tank as sometimes shrimp can jump out?

Usually it takes 2-3 days for the shell to be cleaned up. If you didn't see any in the tank he may be hiding. I personally have never seen any of mine hide. Things are like pigs, will climb right in the food cup when i feed.

Besides that, I had one killed by a small plate coral last week (just to curious I guess) and my carpet anemone down stairs has been proactive in trying to murder that one. He aways has messed up antennas from trying to get food out of it.
