Where did this guy come from?

He must have hitchhiked in some time ago and been in the back of my tank out of sight. He's about the size of a dime and just showed up last night. Unless he's a baby bubble tip which I have a couple of full sized in my tank. However when they've split in the past they've been fully developed looking (larger and with complete orange and green color). This guy looks completely different. Any idea what he is?

Really? It looks so different from my others. Do they sometimes "spawn" as opposed to splitting? As mentioned in my original post, when they have split in the past they look nothing like this. I don't want any more bubbletips!

They do spawn but it is rare in captivity. More likely it was a split like some above said, there are several threads on here with reports of splits having very different coloration than the mother.

Congrats. I call those mini walkers. I've found a few in my tank that don't have a clear origin.
