Hey Reefers,

This question is for those that are running Ozone, I am curious where your ORP levels were when your started monitoring the ORP level in the tank?

I started running the monitor today and started at 89. (using a Milwaukee controller) I was a little surprised to see it so low.

I guess the next best question is how fast did you let it rise?

I am thinking the cap should be around 375 based on what I have read so far. What caps are you using and why or what sources did you use to determine the level?

Thanks in advance.

Did the number rise overnight? Sometimes, ORP probes need to equilibrate for some time (days) before giving a true reading. If it is still reading low, the probe may be bad or may need calibration. You can buy various quinhydrone solutions that create a solution having a specific ORP value - 228mv, 400mv, etc.

Here is a thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/do-i-need-to-calibrate-milwaukee-orp-probe-for-apex.678520/
