I'm setting my frag tank up. Its going to be lit with a 24" 4 bulb T5 fixture. Its a sunpro, or something like that. Anyway, I have a reef breeders on my DT, and it came with a hanging kit. This did not. The RB one was pretty nice, but it also had the male end attachment screw point. This just has loops for hanging. I was looking to hang it somewhat similarly, with a hanging cable, and something to help level the light, in the event its not completed centered over the frag tank. I looked at Lowe's, and Home Depot, and all I can find is the cable. I'm looking for the adjustable piece that allows me to adjust the height, and the piece to allow the cant.

Any ideas? Maybe I need to find a hydroponics store.

I used the very small link chain to hang mine. Comes in black white and sometimes brass. Double check the HD and lowes ghats where I got mine.

Any of the pre made manufactures of led lighting hanging kits can be modified for you application. You can also build your own from Griplock web site , but for your application a common pre made one can easily be attached to your fixture . And no Home depot and Lowes doesn't carry the attachments for the cable grips. I just went through all of my options on trying to hang a floating canopy over my new build and found a cable from little tomato concepts that has a hanging rig that I decided to try (Its in the mail!). It has a toggle system that only requires two holes on the top of the fixture on both sides . The toggle slides into the drilled hole and when you pull up the toggle opens and catches the underside . I flip flopped on this as I wanted a supper clean look without screws being seen on top of my canopy . All that will be visible is 2 cables coming off the top. Found them on YouTube demonstrating their cable system.

Here is the light and the set up it already has. You can also see how there are 3 screw holes for the eye attachment screws. I was wanting to use the two outer holes for attaching a Y attachment.

You can use a split ring to attach to the eyelets. It's what a key ring is. They have them at HD an lowes n Amazon.

I'm going to hang it from a shelving bracket. And I'm sure I'll just have a shelf too. Should I just get a cable with a loop, or use another eyelet hanging from the shelf bracket?

Either would probably work. An s hook or d ring would work too but be a less clean install probably.

This would be easier if you could find the cable attachment stuff at home depot.
Right?
Lowes is a bit better or a good old fashioned hardware store in stead of the Walmart style hardware were subject to now.

Just hung my canopy, combination of my old ATI cable grip from the ceiling with the little tomato fixture assembly.
