I have a 20gallon AIO and I've started dosing Red Sea Alk. My question is where do I dose in the tank? I've been dosing by hand into the return pump chamber but I've read it needs to be in a high flow area away from coral. I don't really have anywhere high flow away from coral and when I finally get my Coralbox doser setup I would like all the lines hidden in the back like everything else.

I've also been wondering this, I have the biocube 29 and have heard that dosing 2part in the return pump chamber will cake the return with presipitants. I've been dosing in chamber 3 right behind the overflow as I figured it's the highest flow area of all 3 chambers and furthest away from the pump. So far I have seen some build up on my filter floss so this isn't ideal either but I find it way better than dosing straight on the pump. My dosing pumps only go down to 0.5mls so I'm limited to that but if your tank needs 2 MLS a day break that down to 10 x 0.2ml doses maybe 10 minutes apart and phase out alk and calcium so you're not dosing at the same time and I think you'll be OK no matter where you dose.

my dosing tubes are in return chamber by pump w no problem.

Dont dose Alk & Calc same time or else they'll precipitate if they come in contact.

For manual dosing I like to dose in front of a powerhead to ensure that it gets pushed into the water column immediately and can begin mixing quickly. If it's automatic dosing I have my tubes running into my return pump section and I just pull the pump every few months and clean it off.
