Where do I go from here..

I'll make this short and not drawn out. Went through a whole ich episode and lost all my fish minus a Naso and a couple Chromis. Did a 9 week FALLOW period, brought back my survivors and after 2 months of them being back in the tank I went and purchased a Potter's Angel and Flame Angel. Within 48 hours they got ich and I'm right back where I started.

I really don't even know what to do at this point. Restarting the tank is out of the question. If I ever drain this tank it's to get out of the hobby for good. Do I remove the fish and just go FALLOW again for like 4-5 months? Would that even ensure anything? My experience and research has really lead me to believe ich can just live a lot longer that we thought without a host. I'd appreciate any advice.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. We've come across information that Ich in particular can survive a fallow tank by going dormant in anaerobic areas of the tank. Stirring the sand can help eliminate the problem. Here's an article on this topic:

How did they get ich within 48 hours of buying them? Did you put them straight in the tank without QT?

Maybe they already had ich when you bought them?
