I ordered tampa bay live rock, and got some free red algae of some sort, my tank have no lights on since its cycling, and i dont have a refugim light yet. Where would i put the algae

You could put it in another container say a 2 1/2 gallon glass tank , a glass bowl etc. drop in a small heater that’s preset to 78 degrees from petco, maybe a small pump or airstone to circulate the water and shine a light on it . Keep nutrients for it to thrive . Looks cool . Or give it to a friend or sell it .
