Where do lfs's buy coral and fish?

I've always kind of been curious as to where these LFS buy their live stock and aquarium supplies from. Anyone?

LFS typically buy fish and supplies from wholesalers. You will have to ask your LFS to know what is the name of the place they buy it from.

Smaller ones get them from importers and distributors. Some larger stores may have enough resources to go directly to the source and order from the exporter or manufacturer.

Yup, wholesalers. I know in my area there is a wholesaler called A and M aquatics, based out of Lansing MI. There may be others, but this is the place I have seen delivering to my LFS. Im sure just like any business, most LFS stores have multiple suppliers depending on what they need.

Quality marine and segrest farms are examples for fish and corals. There are also breeders and fraggers that stores use.

I happened to go to my LFS on delivery day. They had dozens of bags floating in various tanks. They were from Liveaquaria.
