92.49 wow that almost twice what every one else is paying. have you used any other brands? if you have can you notice a difference? what does esv b-ionic seawater do differently than reef crystals?
I think one thing missing in your analysis is what the specific gravity is and the temp when fully mixed. I believe when you consider this, you actually get less than 200 gallons on a box of RC when you mix it to the temp/salinity that most reef tanks are at. On the other hand some of the more expensive salts may actually mix exactly as stated and have more mag/calcium/alk etc.
For what it's worth, I know some people who go with IO and just add additional elements (kalk/calcium reactor/etc.).

I started out using Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals and could never get my tanks parameters where I wanted them and stable. Also always had algae problems and corals that did well but never thrived. I tried some of the other salts and still always was wanting something different when it was time to get new salt. After a lot of research I decided to try ESV and finally found what I was looking for. It comes as four separate ingredients, all reagent grade and I can adjust Ca/Alk without adjusting the salinity or magnesium. The corals now thrive instead of grow and the colors are better than ever.
I only have a 12g reef and do 4g water changes every week, so that $93 lasts well over half a year and well worth every penny to me.

i guess i can see that with a nano. what kind of light do you use on your nano and what coral do you keep that makes this salt such a good combo?

how much is the sticker price? i think its around 50 at thatpetplace and 60 - 65 locally
