Where do you guys get your Chaeto???

I need Chaeto, yesterday and really no time to wait. Algae Barn's currently not shipping any so scratch that. Anyone else have suggestions??

The problem, my LFS places the Chaeto he receives in his open system that has Aptasia and hitchhikers I want nothing to do with. I've got it twice from my LFS, not wanting more.

Mine came from garf. Was how they packaged my bag of bugs. 2 bags came with the order.
If want a 100% sterile not want you want. Comes with micro brittle stars, bristle worms. And had to take out a few polyps of palys that also hitched a ride lol.

got mine from algae barn. i filled the mason jar it came in with RO/DI water and let it sit for about 2 hours (to get rid of any potential worms/aptasia). Put it in my tank and its taking off! Go with algae barn. While nobody is perfect, I'd say theyre the most reliable source available.

I'd wait for algae barn. why do you need it so urgently?

I got to my LFS they grow clean cheato in a cheato only tank. I don’t trust online unless I’m buying equipment or dry goods.

Not necessarily. Which is why I'd wait to get the chaeto from a reliable source like AlgaeBarn rather than introduce a new problem.

I would prefer to buy from them and perhaps wait a few more days to see if they've updated. For what it's worth, it's still good to get some other options, I try not to keep all my eggs in one basket.

Do y’all qt the stuff you get from sources like algae barn?
