I’m curious about where you have your electrical equipment mounted, such as power bars and other electrical receptacles.

I am trying to figure out where I want to mount my Apex that will prevent the possibility of exposure to water. I’d like to keep it out of my stand, so I thought about putting it in the TV cabinet, which is next to the tank. The bin between the tank and TV stand is there temporarily. I have plenty of wire routers for cord management and concealment, so that’s not an issue. I’m just worried about whether the cords will be long enough to reach the Apex if I were to put it in the TV stand.

I am waiting on my new tank and stand to arrive, so my quarantine tank and curing bin are currently sitting where the new tank and stand will go.

Lots of people place their electrical equipment in a cabnet next to their tanks. Very common.

I'm curious how people route their wiring. Specifically, how do they have enough wire to run EVERYTHING to a separate cabinet. Gotta be some splicing going on......

Here's what I did. The pink light coming through on the inside photo wasn't complete in this photo. The hole to the left got a three inch fan and the wire transfer hole I plugged with a partial circle of closed cell packing foam cut to size to keep most of the air from the sump area from coming back into the cabinet while still riding the cabinet of the hot air generated by the equipment power blocks. I cut a hole in the bottom of the cabinet to let in the fresh air.

I went with something similar to kirbuno since I don't have the room for a separate cabinet. Everything electronic is through a piece of wood and I made a removable box in the stand to hide the rats nest of wires while limiting any splashes.

There's enough cords and cables to mount a few more feet away if I needed.
