Where do you place your bagged filtration media?

I am just curious as to where everyone who uses bagged filtration media place it within their system and have they tried it various locations and have noticed different results.

I currently place mine within the return section of my dump but am contemplating placing it in my external overflow box.

You just need to place it in any location that has a lot of flow. I would be hesitant about putting it in the overflow though out of fear of it clogging and affecting the water draining into your sump. I know some people put the bags directly in their filter socks.

Carbon in the pump chamber, Gfo if i use it in the bubble wall from the skimmer to the fuge. And no no difference personally. Had quicker results increasing the intensity of the light in the fuge and recently added a couple new macros, they blew fast up and the bubble algae is dying in the dt. weird. .

If that will make the water flow through the bag (not just around it) it sounds like a good choice.
