Hi everyone.

180g mixed reef, 40g 3 chamber sump, 12 feet below tank in basement.

When water evaporates from the system, where is this typically noticed?

If I add no RODI, seems the DT stays same level always, same in chamber 1 (from overflow) and same in chamber 2, refugium.

So am I correct that the evaporation would be noticed in the return pump section by the water level slowly lowering?

Only the lowest level of water, the return section, is where the the evap happens. This is where your ATO should be.

EDIT: So yes you are correct.

It crystallizes over time. You will see salt creep at some point. Its more dissipation than evaporation

it shows in your sump, you typically would replace lost water to your sump as well.
