Well the time has come for to start adding SPS Corals and Clams to me aquarium and I just don't like the selection I see at local aquarium stores. Their colors are drab and their is virtually no polyp extension. What are your go to locations for the premium SPS Corals and Clams? I would love to find a piece of Purple Monster or Oregon Tortusa SPS Corals either from a vendor or private reef keeper.

Many of the online vendors/sponsers on this site have really nice sps. BSA, cherry coral, Sexy Coral just to name a few

Vivid Aquarium.

I dont know if you already are or not but join your local reefing club! You will find stick heads that live locally that might already have some of the Grade A sticks you are looking for. As well you would not have to worry about shipping this way either.

Most of mine have come from Cherry Corals over the years, haven't gone wrong yet. I'm really itching to try Battlecorals though!

Reef Raft USA, Unique Corals, Shipwreck Cove Corals, Cherry Corals, Battle Corals, and local reefers

If you have not kept SPS before I would buy some of them from the local fish store and gain some experience first. If it is a new tank it is still better to test the cheaper ones. SPS die very quickly when things go wrong so you are better off buying the cheaper ones to get the husbandry down first. Then swap them out later for the higher grade ones once you have things figured out.

Thanks everyone. I am actually going to check out all of the sites especially Battlecorals. I am highly intrigued to buy something from them because they give you the option selecting frags from the different types of light. That should help with acclimation.

Battle Corals, Cherry Corals are both awesome and the two best in the biz. World Wide Corals and Rocky Mountain Frags are also top notch. I had a couple awful experiences with Sexy Corals and would suggest caution there.

Battle Corals is another good source for Acros

^this. You can't go wrong when ordering from Adam. Has to be my favorite place for sticks, he'll have something for you no matter what you budget is.

Reef pets is another great place, Gary has some great looking sticks, great prices, and ships like a pro.

Local reefers... who got them from battle, uc, rr, etc. :D

I do have a few that I got direct from UC though.

My favorites are RR USA, Rocky Mountain Frags, Cherry Corals, inland Corals, and friends :D. I have been thinking about trying Battle Corals... He has some nice old school sps that I'd love to add to the tank.

You have local reefers in the country?!?

Adam from Battlecorals can put you a real nice beginners pack together.
For that matter, almost every sponsor has a 4th of July special going on.
