Hi again, just wondering today about continuous stocking of the tank.
Let me explain if I can.
Somebody mentioned that if I added two Springer damsels to the tank, it might be okay if they were the last fish to go in.
Say then that my pyjama cardinal died, then maybe the blenny. I'm now two fish down on my stock list but couldn't add any more because the damsels wouldn't be happy.
Then maybe the clowns and the Mandarin went? Still can't add any more??
Then, after the funeral celebration for the Dottyback is over, I'm left with two damsels who apparently will not accept any new arrivals. Apart from not getting the damsels (I haven't) what could happen?
Sorry if I'm rambling, strange what goes through my head while waiting in a supermarket car park!!

I don't know if it ever ends. How many members have shut down their tanks, for whatever reason, only to find themselves drawn back into the watery world. :-) Current tanks, past tank, future tanks, it's all one continuous stream. :-) That also applies to livestock. :-)

The scenario you pose can occur with any number of fish. Ask yourself how invested are you in getting those particular fish. Damsels are aggressive it's widely known irregardless of when they get added. Add before this or after that, I don't buy into, if they're going to exist together they will.

If you decide to add them just understand the risks and responsibly watch the tank, remove them if it becomes an issue.
