Where does your carbon reactor go from/to

I did several searches and watched a few videos. One thing I had trouble seeing was where people locate the carbon reactor input(pump) and output.

I have my input where my skimmer is and my output where my sump return pump is.

I am curious if anyone has input and output in the actual display and did you notice any improvement?

My Bubble Anemone seemed really happy after the carbon reactor was installed.

I'm running the Deluxe BRS carbon/ GFO reactor. I have the return line running into the return pump section of my sump.

It seems logical to me to direct the return line of the carbon filtered water directly to the return pump, otherwise you are just recirculating it back into nutrient rich water in the skimmer/filter portion of the sump.

I thought so too. I was a little worried about raising the water level in the return section since my auto top off float is located there. So far with the reactor flow turned down it has not been an issue.
