I can't find that topic that shared oops.. I got a new one I want to add.

I have BRS 2 parts- I had purchased 2 sets.. I mixed up cal and alk and the mag. few months ago.

I've been having trouble upping my magnesium.. I practically dumped the entire jug of mag into the tank for the past month with frustration that my mag was never going up, but continued to go down. I went to make more.. then I saw TWO bags of Mag when I should've only had one. I tasted the mag I've been using.. it was tasteless (Assuming it had a taste ). I was dosing RO/DI water into the tank thinking it was the mag mixture.. apparently I've never mixed it with the others and I thought I did!

Note to self.. recheck your mixtures. I lost my hammer and plate because my mag was so low. It could've been saved and solved a month ago if I had double checked!

Tell me I am not the only one that had this moment.

What was your magnesium at lose that coral?

That would really mess up calcium and DKH, I thought the other two would be lower. Are things back to normal or are you still raising mag?

I am still raising. I realized the mistake I made this morning. Everything else is doing really well. The zoas, acros, duncans.. everything is great and growing still. My zoas are actually growing faster now I've noticed. Just my Hammer and Long Tentical Plate died.

My BTA did split yesterday, so I am not sure if it was because of the water quality and it's stress, or it's happy.

I did a 15% water change this past weekend and plan on doing another. I did not notice any change in mag after the water change (using reef crystals)
