Newbie here. I have a 3.5 month old system and I am setting up a carbon and GFO this weekend. What section of my sump should I put the pumps in to power these reactors? My sump goes skimmer section >return>refugium. Obviously I want the outlets to be in the return section, but where should the pumps be? Originally I thought the skimmer section, but is it ok to reduce the flow through this section by feeding these reactors? If I put the pumps and outlets in the return section won’t I just be treating already treated water?

I only ruin a carbon reactor but I placed my pump in the skimmer section and the outlet hose in the return section. I hope this helps.
