Ok so I’m just finishing my triton method sump plumbing. Question is what are your thoughts on Herbie over flow drain return position? Basically I want to know where to put the drain pipes in the sump. I think my options are probably back corner or back center of fuge wall so I can mess around in the Refugium etc without pipes in the way or I can dump both pipes in the dead center of the fuge. I leaning towards back corner but probably mainly so it’s not in my way but wondering if there is a downside I’m not aware of since this is my first sump.

First two pictures are back of the tank and 3 and 4 are of the front. Pieces are dry fit just to get an idea.

Sounds like your already thinking of everything that needs to be thought about. Need to decide about filter sock or none and about the water movement from those drains too.

No filter sock for me I want the detritus into the Refugium so it get first dibs. This is pretty much my last decision before filling with water

I wouldn't dump straight into fuge. Too many bubbles in the fuge won't help.

I have multiple bubble traps and am going to terminate 1” below water line with full siphon so bubbles should be minimal
