Where should I put my heater?

I’m doing a new build and I’m curious where is the best place to put my two 300 Watt heaters?

I would say in the middle chamber but that`s just me

Just be sure to place your temperature probe upstream of the heater(s)

Any place in the front chambers and just think about if you lost power or something plugged what chamber would still hold water for the heater in case of fails

120gallon tank and a 40 gallon breeder

Yes I’ll be setting them together if one fails the will continue heating

I have my heaters in the middle skimmer section. If you’re running your heaters on a controller it’s recommended to have your probe before the heaters, but my sump came with a probe holder attached to the skimmer section overflow and that’s where my probe is no issue.

I have a similar size and system. I put one in the skimmer section and one in the ‘fuge.

I had them both in the fuge and found the water turnover wasn’t fast enough… they would super-heat the area and satisfy… cycle… just didn’t work well.
