I would like to know where I should put my torch

So it's getting close to the same light parameters it grew under. Looks like you set up your system with just dry rock and sand. You might find these links helpful in establishing healthy ecosystems

but my parameters seem ok
these have been my parameters for the past 2 months
Ca 420-450
Mg 1350-1400
Alk 8-8.5 dkh
No3 <10 ppm
Po4 <.05 ppm
salinity 35 ppt
Temp 77 deg
the tank has been cycling for 6 months and I have just recently added fish and corals
either way, thank you for the video I enjoy everything I can in this hobby
but in what spot do you think this torch would be happiest

You're welcome! :)

Where any coral is going to be happiest is going to be where the lighting conditions and water flow and parameters most closely match the conditions it was growing in. One of the frustrating aspects of keeping corals is it's often impossible to know what a newly acquired coral wants. Besides basic water parameters we also have to deal with organic nutrients we can't test for, lighting parameters and perhaps most importantly microbial stuff. Since you already set it in one place and corals have to adjust thier photobiology to new locations and moving them around forces them to start readjusting thier photobiology I'd leave it alone for now.

Here's some more links you may find interesting:

"Coral Reefs in the Microbial Seas" This video compliments Rohwer's book of the same title (Paper back is ~$20, Kindle is ~$10), both deal with the conflicting roles of the different types of DOC in reef ecosystems. While there is overlap bewteen his book and the video both have information not covered by the other and together give a broader view of the complex relationships found in reef ecosystems
