Hi, I just started my tank about a month and a half ago. It’s 45 gallons but 2 ft deep. I have a Maxspec razor 160w. I know nothing about lights I have watched a bunch of videos and I’ll be honest, it’s still not my strong suit. I watched the BRS videos on this light but my tank is much deeper so I’m assuming they won’t be that strong. I got a zoa frag and put it in the corner where the light and flow would be lighter but it didn’t open up. I moved it towards the center but still far down in the tank. It still seems unhappy. Is my light too strong, too weak? How can you tell? I really have no idea. Thank you!

Ah, hi, just kidding, I could not resist . Hope you are doing well tonight.

So can we start with a picture of the tank. An idea of the rock work will help us direct you to a good spot.:D:D:);)

Hahaha! I like it.

here is a pic. I started with it in the spot marked with yellow. It’s now in the red circle. Thank you for your help!

that should be just fine, I had the same light a while back with zoas. Just watch how your zoas react, as long as they are open and happy. You're good
