Should I buy one of these online? The prices seem so much better online, around 50-60 then in shops by me.

All of the shops by me that have a 5 pound bottle in stock it is around $120 for the bottle and then another $13 to fill it.

Can I just buy any 5 pound bottle online and it will work for my calcium reactor or is there a certain kind I need?

like will this work? https://rapidswholesale.com/aluminu...MImcX13tCM2AIVj1cNCh0yeA3PEAQYASABEgLWs_D_BwE

They're basically all the same. I would buy a new one and not a recertified one though, the difference is only a few bucks.

You can also get CO2 tanks small or big at the Air Shop Paintball Store and refill Co2 same place for cheap.

you can try a welding supply place or a beer and wine makers supply. Don't worry about buying new - everyplace I've gotten CO2 from does a bottle exchange. You drop off the empty and pick up a full.

Best place is Praxair or Mattheson Gas etc. or some equivilent. They deal with these continuously so getting refills is a snap and they’re always properly filled, tested, sealed, etc.

I bought a pair of 20 lb. tanks almost 30 years ago ..... and they're still brand new because the refilling process is actually a tank swap so I don't have to worry about recertification, etc.. I go to the local Airgas. 20 lb. refill lasts me abut 15 months.

I bought the cheapest tank i could find on craigslist and took it to airgas and got it swapped for a full new one for $20
