Hi there everyone. My tank has been set up for a month now and I think I am ready to jump into keeping corals. My only problem is that i have looked all over the internet and everything I find is expensive. I have a few questions.

1. What is a reasonable price to pay for frag?

2. Where do you get your frags?

3. What should i start off with?

Thanks for the help!

The price depends on the coral really, I would start off with some zoanthids/palys, Mushrooms, green star polyps,Or Maybe a frogspawn, hammer or torch coral there good beginner corals and will give you some movement, check out the vendors section on here you will see plenty of awesome places to order from, My personal favorites is Aqua SD, Mr. Coral, Sexy corals and unique corals.

Check your local LFS for affordable frags. I'm in Orlando and Tampa often and there are a couple stores in both towns that have $10 dollar corals. If you buy online you'll spend $35-50 on shipping so even cheap frags then become more expensive when you factor in the shipping. That said there are many excellent online sources for corals. Good luck with your new tank.
