All,

With Stone Aquatics closing up shop here in the Denver area I am in need of a new place to find the more difficult to obtain fish. As far as I know, there are no other stores in the Denver area that bring in these types of fish on a regular basis. I know I can order from Diver's Den which has some rarities on occasion, but any other suggestions? Has anyone purchased from The Reef Corner? If so what are your thoughts? Any other recommendations?

Thanks,

Steve

When you say hard to find fish, what are you talking about?

I've purchased fish from Zoa collector, pacific island aquatics. I know TSM corals has nice fish as well.

I’ve also bought from zoa collector(by the way I miss you Colin). Reefwise is also a great spot and qt there fish and make sure there eating

Don't all these places ultimately pull from the same set of distributors? I doubt they are actually custom sourcing their own fish. I typically buy from DD/LA, Bluezoo, NYAquatic and one LFS. Pretty much get all the 'rare' fish I covet.

Most of them do, but:

There is some of that going on. Some vendors do have exclusive agreements with some collectors/exporters.

What about among the reef?

Seems like that dmorty guy has a contact for someone somewhere else too. Is he a member here?

This sucks, It was awesome to have stone aquatics in denver. They had every red sea reefer setup in the place and in stock. You could go in and just pick what you wanted.
