Where to buy Large Rimless Tanks

I'll throw in Coast to Coast in NJ. They built my euro braced tank, 60x24x24, 150 gallon. They are not cheap but their work is perfect (at least to my eyes). I quoted both the rimless and the euro braced, went with the euro braced because it saved me a few grand. Then built a custom stand that is 36" high so when looking straight on you can don't notice the bracing anyway. Either way, great people to work with.

here is the coast to coast tank

Just for reefers looking at this thread as they are searching for builders... Keep in mind that the cheaper you go the higher the chance that you'll get a bad tank! Dont skim on this. It is NOT worth it. If you can't afford it, then just go with a small tank. Big tanks are not worth it to find the "cheapest" builder to go with. Espcially, custom built and rimless.

If I get to do it again, I would go with reefsavy or DSA. Shop around first! But be smart. Ask them LOTS of questions. The last thing you want is a leaky tank...

Another vote for coast to coast. Though I don't have my tank yet( it will be here this week) talking to chris there makes me have a lot of confidence. I went with their euro brace because it was a lot cheaper and their brace around the edge is pretty small. Since I saved tons on doing the euro brace I was able to get several other custom options which is cool. External overflow and a 40" tall metal stand so I don't have to bend over to look in the tank. 60x28x30

I have a coast to coast and I absolutely love it. The quality is the best I've seen. I used to own an AGE and c2c are nicer in comparison.

Exotic aquariums. Karen and bob really know what they are doing. I was looking for a rimless and asked all around south Florida (at least 6-8 different lfs) and Karens name was always first on the list.

My 30X30X16" was about $750 from glass cages. Starphire on three sides, 1/2" glass. Drilled an extra hole, and overflow and bulkheads. Eurobaced on the bottom and around the overflow. It is a great tank!

I just ordered my tank from Leemar in San Diego CA. Dimensions are 96"x30"x21". Recessed Eurobrace, starphire 1/2" glass, with a 44" external overflow. I paid $1800 for the glass.

Another vote for Coast to Coast Custom Aquariums - true works of art.

Pat is the greatest. They built my sump and 5'-0" 150g rimless display.

Anyone in the Bay Area suggest any places for custom tanks?

Thought I’d bring this back up. Looking to do something I’m the 84” x 36” x 26”. Have a 750xxl now. Im guessing the height is what limits a tank to being rimless? I love the look of rimless open top.

What about planet out of Texas and custom aquariums?

My Eurobraced rimless 300, 96x30x24, is a Planet. Shipped to LFS. Only issue was the stand was missing a door but it arrived the next week.

If you have a local in state custom tank builder, then it hard to pass them up.
But if you are looking elsewhere, checkout https://crystalreefaquatics.com/

Planet is local to me (4hrs away).

Bob,

What options and what type of glass? How’s the build quality?

Thanks.

1/2" standard glass w/ the PVC bottom. I had Starphire on a previous tank and it scratched too easy for my liking. Price jump for Starphire was also significant. I have no complaints on build quality. Clean silicon work and all of my specifications were met. The Eurobrace works perfectly with the window screen top like BRS sells.

these are nice tanks. Saw a 90 and a 120 in person at WWC a few months back, and the workmanship was solid. I was surprised at the reasonable price-points as well. Granted they were not true custom tanks, but the cost was reasonable nonetheless.

AGE and Crystal Dynamic Aquariums, they are is Oceanside Ca and they do ship. Check out their Facebook page.
