So have you had better luck with the LFS or online like DD or sponsors here for leopard wrasses? I know they don't ship well.

I've also heard a mixed opinion on QTing leopard wrasses. Any source you would trust more for minimizing disease risk so that you can forego QT?

I have had good luck with both the LFS and online. My local LFS in @WWC and I keep my system as close in parmeter as I can to there's. When I can not find what I am looking for I have ordered form Blue Zoo and Liveaquaria, both good products

I try to get mine at an LFS where I can see for myself how they are eating and swimming and interacting with tankmates.

If I were not able to source one through my LFS, I would then try for DD, then if not there, next would be any place that offered a guarantee.

Thanks, they seem pretty hard to come by from places that offer a guarantee. And the last on DD was a trio which I don't have room for unfortunately. Anyone ordered one from regular LA?

Is it better to buy small or large?

I'm getting ready to order a potters from blue zoo very soon. I've wanted to try one for a good while. I hope everything goes well with it.

I got mine from live aquaria tracked it whole way she is doing great so far been several months and she nice and fat now : )

I love petsolutions.com for leopards. They source fish the same exact way as live aquaria and in fact you could buy the same fish from either site.

They have the same warranty/guarantee, free shipping after $99 last I checked versus live aquaria 225 or whatever, and their prices are often lower and they have different available fish from QM. They also have great customer service. Very underrated vendor I like them a lot

No matter where you get if from there is always a chance to get sumtin nasty.
Read through all the ich and velvet threads and there is a ton of them. Ive had a saltwater tank set up for 16 years straight and have never had a disease and now im way to attached to my fish to try.... also live aquaria is a great place to get fish i have a flame and six line i got from them 8-9 years ago

Agreed with Hunter that medium-small are best.

A lot of people not thrilled with LA/DD of late but they at least fully guarantee what they sell. So much stuff Blue Zoo sells is live arrival only and you only get 1 hour from delivery time. I balked on ever buying anything from them because of their overall poor policies . Even for other stuff the guarantee is 7 days from shipping time. Half that of LA/DD which does not preclude a full refund. Granted because of that there's some fish BZ (or others) sell that LA/DD doesn't.

Of course I have a pretty good LFS and can usually get what I want from them straight from quality marine which solves a lot of risk issues.

I went with a medium in size(from LA) and she came in smaller than what i expected but did fine...i had bought a smaller one from lfs before that and she came out of sand one time never to be seen again so be careful what size go with especially if tank already has fish in it as they seem be very shy fish at first

Blue zoo won't budge on that either even if the fish was barely alive on arrival and you have video proof and gave it a try. The livestock manager also bad mouths competition and argues with you and asks you what you did wrong despite a video of the fish swimming erratically in the bag.

I did not have an issue with Blue Zoo and my last order, yes like most online companies you have to have picture prof of the death. Liveaquaria will refund you money which makes more since, were as Blue Zoo will give you a store credit to reorder. As I stated before I like going to the LFS and picking out my fish, Or ordering through the LFS.
