Where to buy starboard locally

Well after the storms went through two weeks ago and my house lost power while we were out of town I have had to break down my tank. I am getting rid of my sand bed and going bare bottom and want to get a piece of starboard to protect the glass. Any idea where to get a 2x2 piece locally?

I remember Mike's Merchandise one time had a lot of cutting boards that apparantly had a dark streak in them by mistake in the manufacturing process. It might be worth a look. If you want to just cut a couple of cutting boards check the Dollar Store.

Thanks Harry. I will check into Mike's. I was hoping to get a single piece but it guess it wouldn't really matter if it was multiple and would probably make it easier to take out eventually anyways.

I have purchased mine on Ebay twice. There is an ebay store called OEMarine that will sometimes list seconds because they have a scratch, etc. When I upgraded last year he didn't have any seconds listed but I emailed him and he replied the same day with a price. He will ship priority mail if you request that and you would have the product in 3 days tops.

If you ever have to remove the starboard it will be hard to get out whether it is one piece or two. We used a suction cup to lift mine out when I broke down my old tank.

PS - don't get too many small pieces since starboard floats if not weighted down with rock, etc
