I have a large electric blue hermit crab and a large amount of small blue, white, and black legged hermit crabs. I have a few shells left over from snails but none of them are good for either set of hermits. Any idea of where I can get additional hermit crab shells that are reef safe?

Try reefcleaners. They sell both regular and large 'hermit crab' (not so sure the original inhabitant would agree but I digress..) shells. No idea on the shipping but if you aren't buying livestock they may have a cheap delivery option.

I actually found a half dozen or so in a basket of shells my wife bought once for a knick-knack. She gladly donated them to hobo (our we-didn't-buy-him-but-he-was-in-the-bag hermit).

I would say reefcleaners as well, but again, not sure on shipping for shells only.

I just got a shipment today with snails, emerald crab and shrimp, and ordered some shells at the same time.

One I found years ago. It's about 2.5-3" across. Make sure it can go around backside of scape. I got worried but saw him today sideways with about an inch to spare.

Original shell it had.
