Where to place booster pump?

I know it does flush to membrane. There is a massive difference when the switch is turned. So i know it does flush properly. I'm just not certain about the flow restrictor . I'll look into that.

I really don't understand how that's possible. Based on what your picture shows, they're both just straight RO tubing. All it looks like it's doing is going a different route. Does the waste water output speed up, or slow down, when you open it?

Speeds up. IT shot out of my sink once before when it wasn't pushed far enough down the drain.

And the output water slows down to almost nothing when it's opened as well.

That's so strange..... My only thought is that the yellow tubing has some sort of flow restrictor built in... Maybe someone else can chime in.

I would take off your waste water line that’s coming off of the membrane and see if there is one installed inline.

How long have you had this unit? And also have you redone any of the plumbing?

I've had it almost 3 years. and I've not done anything to it other than add the booster recently.

I didnt really see the barrel type on your plumbing so it’s safe to say that you have an in-line one. If everything worked before your booster pump. What GPD is your system? Have you changed any filters or membrane recently?

I installed a small filter immediately before my booster and it runs directly into my sediment filters. It is perfectly normal to see a pressure gauge moving back and forth when you are close to the discharge of a pump.

There is a flow restrictor in the waste line. It is inside the line between the fitting and the tube. If you look up Aqua FX Barracuda (who makes your system) setup videos on YouTube, you’ll see it there.

The pressure gauge bouncing like that is normal. This is why they make liquid filled gauges, if you want the gauge to be still, replace it with a liquid filled one.
