Where to place my Cespitularia Frag

So I’ve seen some pictures where it looks like people have placed Cespitularia in the sand/substrate. Does it grow well there even if it grows off of the frag it’s on?

Cespitularia will grow like a weed basically anywhere you put it. Even if you pull all of it out of the tank but miss one tiny fragment, it will take over.
