I've got a small acrylic frag tank made of thicker acrylic. I'm looking for a hand held (not magnetic) acrylic scraper that doesn't suck -- My Flipper will chew this acrylic up as a lite snack.

I might be off base here, but I think Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work great - the original ones, with no soap or anything in them.

these magic erasers dont scratch acrylic but can they take off the tough algae that flippers cant?

I use Continuum as well from Premium Aquatics.
