Planning mostly sps with some lps. I had the 60” 8 bulb on my old tank. You’re right i should just go with the 8 bulb just didn’t know if i should go for the 48” or 36”If you're planning on SPS that fixture would be plenty. If going mainly LPS with some SPS the 6 bulb will work just fine.
I'm sure you could get away with the 36" 8 bulb for SPS since you tank is somewhat shallow. The outer edges may not have enough coverage for the SPS so lower light SPS or LPS would work on the outer edges.Planning mostly sps with some lps. I had the 60” 8 bulb on my old tank. Which ATI fixture would you guys recommend for a 48”x24”x16” 80g deep blue rimless?
I was thinking about the 48” 8 bulb, but is that overkill? Thanks!
Yeah you’re right, and for the price difference I’ll just get the 48” 8 bulb. Thanks!I'm sure you could get away with the 36" 8 bulb for SPS since you tank is somewhat shallow. The outer edges may not have enough coverage for the SPS so lower light SPS or LPS would work on the outer edges.
Thank you yeah I’m gonna get the 8 bulbAdding more bulbs with t-5 is not about more light it is about more coverage. These are rules of thumbs I use:
under 18" 4 bublbs
18" -23" 6 bulbs
24" and up 8 bulbs.
I’ll use all 8 for sure lolGood chance you'll be able to make use of all 8. I've seen some of the best in aquaculture run ATI 8-Bulb Sunpowers on 12" deep tanks as a standard (granted some days, only 6 are lit). Like you said, not a big price difference anyways. I'm sure you'll love it!
