Which ATO to use

I have been using a Tunze 3155 in my 45 gallon that I was planning on transferring to my Waterbox. However, it recently started acting up and won’t stop at the optical sensor (unit is about 9 months old) which has me a bit concerned. I recently bought a XPAqua Duetto ATO that I was going to use for my smaller tank but now am thinking of using for the larger one. I have a ~20g reservoir so I want to make sure I don’t risk overfilling. Any thoughts?

I’ve never heard of the tunze failing on, that was a top choice of me to get one. Is your sensor dirty by any chance?

Nope I cleaned it after it failed assuming that was the issue. Still keeps over flowing the optical.

Send it in to Tunze USA, they should replace the sensor for free minus shipping

I have a 40 with Duetto, if it's turned off during sock change it will over fill later. I never keep enough h2o to over flow, after 3 months I do not trust it.
Tunze has worked for me in the past. I would rather have a pump fail than a sensor.
