I wanted to know what bubble king skimmer would be good. Theres many different lines being, cone, supermarin and deluxe... so which one is good?

I had a DC-180 before upgrading to the DC-200 that came with my dream box. These both work amazingly efficient and pull the most gross skimmate of any skimmer I’ve owned, and I’ve owned a lot of skimmers. They definitely are underrated size wise and I hope Scott chimes in here. I also have the Helix neck cleaner and they are just as awesome. JP

What about the vs13?

Ahhhh, the mini-200. That one has a lift off skimmate cup and I wish mine just lifted off instead of screwing on. That uses the same pump as mine and will be silent and very adjustable. I assume you’ll have this on a big tank. My DC-200 is on my 135G and it’s way oversized for my tank but still performs very well. I will never ever overwork it.

Itll be on a 525xl XD. Just want to get it, so down the road when i upgrade ive already got a beast

The Mini 200 is too big for a Red Sea 525 XL I would look at the Bubble King Mini 160 or 180 or the Double Cone 150 model.

I agree. I have a Bk 180 mini on my Reefer 525, and it is oversized (skims a bit wet and is not as consistent as I would like). A 160 would have been a better choice.

Is there a bk with a dc pump in those sizes? only reason as to choosing this size skimmer is for use on a bigger tank when i upgrade and aswell due to the dc pump:)

I run a Supermarin 200 and am very pleased with its performance. Mine has theRed Dragon® 3 Mini Speedy pump 50 Watt which makes it real easy to make adjustments, although once dialed in it is set and forget.

I own a mini 160, mini 180, supermarin 250 and they are all amazing. I have nothing but great experience with the minis. The super marine250 works great but I’m not getting too performance cause I have it on way to small of a tank. So I’m actually selling it to down grade to a supermarin 200.
