Which CaRx this time around?

Will definitely do that. I caught Covid and sold everything and had other things on my mind, but now I’m getting bored. So it looks like about 8K to start up again.
What size tank you going with this time?

I use ARM in the second chamber, which helps keep the pH from dropping too much and it seems to have a higher magnesium content than reborn, so I’ve never had to add remag with my setup. Also, my effluent goes directly into my fuge.
Forgive the wire mess, still need to mount some power bricks into 3D printed mounts that I have.

Looks great man. Does anybody know the melting point of ARM vs Reborn?

I have one from advanced aquarium engineering and it’s been perfect

Idk if this added convenience makes a difference to you, but there is an SPS guru in my area that will only use reactors with a screw on top.

He says he got sick of messing with nylon thumb screws every couple mo.

Advanced aquarium engineering and reef octopus would be examples of screw tops.

I run a Tunze with Tunze media on my 120. Comming up on 1 year running now and it is working well.
Tunze media is manmade and you can run a smaller reactor as the size of media has alot of surface area and its clean and does not sludge out.
I dont run a probe or controller but I have measured the effluent and it runs a ph of 6.5, 25 dkh, and it has no effect on the ph of my tank.

Yeah, Greg Carrol. :-)
He makes a good point. I wish GEO would go to screw on lids.

I really like the look of these RO reactors. Anybody here have one?

I liked the reef octopus reactors just fine.

Suprised no ones running the new avast calcium reactor! Pretty cool design.

I like a couple of the new reactors, but I will not get one until they are "old" reactors. Too many of the companies end up out of business and then I cannot get a part if I break something, or I otherwise need to replace it.

I prefer to avoid uniseals if I can - they don't last long with the low pH water on the inside. They are not the end of the world, but when paying the same money, I can do with some hardened stuff.

The exception to this are reactors that use normal PCV parts that I can get, or order, from a normal plumbing store.
