I am trying to decide on the last fish to add to my 40 breeder/20 gal sump. I have 2 clownfish, a royal gramma and a Vanderbilt Chromis. I would like to add possibly Talbot or Springeri Blue Sapphire Damsels. Which is the least aggressive and should I purchase one, a pair or one of each? Thank you!

I have a pair of springeri damsels .
they don’t seam to be overly aggressive but they are the smallest fish in the tank .

Either of those 2 species will be among the most easy going damsels. I would just get a single.

I have been told that the springeri damsel is quite aggressive, I have never checked it but I have been wanting to have one, instead, I have always had blue damsels and I must say that I have not had experiences of aggression with any of them, on the contrary, they have suffered aggression by other fish.

I would try and get some Chalk Basslets if you don't end up getting a damsel :) they are really peaceful with other fish and you can keep as many as you want. They may bicker with each other, but only at first. They are a really cool shoaling fish too.
(You could also do Zebra or Scissortail dartfish if you have a mesh top or cover)
