I'm debating between the Bulkreefsupply dosers because they are only $50 each because of black friday, or the aqua medic evo 4 doser which is like $150 on salty supply. I'm sort of leaning toward the brs doser because I feel it seems more reliable. What do you guys think?

BRS

Negative, the 1.1 dose rate is accurate out the box.

I have the Aquamedic doser. Although I do enjoy the controller feature, I have trouble with it staying primed. AM is sending me anti syphon valves but, I would think this is a design flaw. Calibrating is pretty easy on these too.

I have not used the BRS dosers but, I wouldn't buy them either. I have talked to a few folks about them and they didn't have any long term success with them.

I have both BRS 1.1 and the Bubble Magnus dosser, I came home one night to a white tank as one of the dosing pumps (Bubble Magnus) heads popped off the unit and because of my setup emptied little under 1/4 gallon of soda ash into the DT. The BRS are meant to be controlled with digital timer or better yet a Apex unit, it is a bit more setup and programming with the Apex but this site makes it super easy. The BRS Pumps are designed well and work great. The DOS is another excellent option and uses stepper motor these are some of the same motors used in CNC Bridgeport units for precision machining the reliability it top notch! What ever dosing system you go with I recommend you research the unit, pull a copy of the owners manual/setup to fully understand what you're getting and how it's to be setup.

...also research customer service for each unit and you will find that some are WAY better than others and something that must be taken into consideration!
