Which eel to buy?

Hey guys, I have a 72 bow with clown fish, yellow tang,Firefish Diamond Gobi and yellow tail Damsel and a hippo tang. Also have lps, softies and 1 sps. Can anyone recommend a cool looking eel that would be peaceful in this tank I don't want to disrupt anything.

Golden dwarf moray would be your best bet due 2 size, with the only fish I'd be primarily concerned about would be the goby. Keeping well feed helps.

^Agreed, a melatremus eel is the ideal choice for your tank and current inhabitants.

I have a zebra eel, he eat all my peppermint shrimp, pistol shrimp and emerald crabs but never messes fish no matter how hard they try to get eaten. It also leaves the cleaner and coral banded shrimp alone. I have to reglue corals often and he is pretty good at fragging SPS, but honestly he is the star of the tank. Anytime someone comes over they ask me to feed him.

They get big but it should be fine in your tank as they do not need a lot of room.

A 72g is about half the size is recommend for a zebra.

Ribbon eels are specialized fish eaters and are especially adept at eating firefish. Plus, they are very difficult to get to eat non-live foods.

Hmm getting nervouse, I have a fire shrimp too.

Anything cool looking out there that looks like an eel but isnt?

Just looking to add some unique to the tank.

There is always a way to overcome a problem with a solution, I had ribbon eels and morays with many small fishes several times, ribbon eels can sometimes be stubborn and stop eating , if you want a eel worry about its size over everything. Get something small.
