Which fish have the best personality?

So we're getting ready to part with our porcupine puffer who has an awesome personality and I'd like to know your experiences with more reef safe fish. Feel free to let us know about all of your fish with great personalities but we are mostly looking to replace him with something reef safe, hopefully under $200, and good in a 125g tank. Thanks!

I had a purple dottyback that I swear would watch me back. We played peekaboo. He was a bully and a jerk but I loved him. He died in a freak accident involving a filter and, given their aggression, I haven’t replaced him. Would be good with larger fish though.

I LOVE my longnose hawkfish! He always swims up to the glass to see me every time I come into the room... well, really just begging me for food but I still think it's adorable. He was eating out of my hand only a week after I got him, super friendly. They do eat shrimp and crabs but are otherwise pretty reef friendly from what I hear. Mine gets along great with the other tank inhabitants, my clownfish used to hide in their corner all day but they've started coming out a lot more since I added the hawk.

I like them all, but I’ve got Starry Blenny that has the personality of a friendly dog, great fish.

Really? Oh man ours was active as can be. Loved that little monster! Might have something to do w other inhabitants too. I had him in a fish his size so he ruled the tank. Was such a jerk about it too

Starry blennies are awesome fish, we had one in our first tank years ago and he was my favorite

When you say personality, do you mean toward you or the other fish?

Not trying to be difficult or play needless word games, but what do you mean by "great personality"? My guess is that someone who focuses on predator tanks may have a different perception of a great personality than what I would consider a great personality!!!

All of that said, it is really hard to be puffers!

All of that said, it is really hard to be puffers!

Towards us would be preferable. Our puffer spits water at us when he's hungry, gets excited and swims against the glass when we're nearby, and really just acts more like a dog than a fish. Just a really active, beautiful fish would also be considered (maybe a reef safe angel)
