Which fish

I see no problem at all with introducing them at different times. I usually add one fish at a time. Your LFS should be able to order fish. It just depends on whether their supplier has them at any given time. Both are fairly common though.
I'm the same way well I guess kinda 50/50 since I only have 4 different type of fish so far. But I read some where it's best to just add 1 at a time and give it a month or two before adding another, if nothing else it just gives me something to look forward to adding in my tank [emoji16]

Yellow tangs are good grazers ive never had gha in my tanks after adding mine and i kept him in a 75 for 15 years. I switched to a 150 in January but he was happy in the 75 or he wouldnt still be alive after this many years. I gave him a lot of tunnels to swim in and out of. Not a fan of rabbit fishes i think they look funny and i have kids that stick their hands in tank to get the fish to eat out of their hands. Also why i got rid of my picasso trigger id hate for one to lose a finger

If getting one at a time I would recommend getting the foxface as they are not as territorial as a tang.

Gha is one reason I'm getting either fish to help keep it beat down I have it mostly under control just need help getting the little bit I can't suck out on water change day, I think I'm swaying away from a foxface mainly because I have a 1 year old that likes to feel the water haha if he touches this fish, kinda like if he touched one of my zoa frags it would only make him sick if his hand came in contact with his mouth or eyes right? It won't soak threw his skin or some twisted stuff like that riiiiggghhhttt?

It is a spine on the top fin. He would have to grab the fish or hit the fish hard enough for it to puncture the skin

Alright so it's defensive kinda like a porcupine. I've seen the hooks on yellow tangs, are these poisonous too or are they just there for defense?

No poison. Just cuts whatever messes with them. If you do get cut just be sure to disinfect real good. It isn't recommended to use nets on these types of fish because they become tangled. Then your likely to get hurt helping them.

I gotcha, do all tangs have this or is it just yellows? Looking at the tangs on la and vivid aquariums I don't see the little spines on any of the other like the tomini, kole, and mimic tang

All tangs have at least one tail blade. How tough the spines on their fins are varies. It also depends on if they are in a relaxed or defensive posture.

Awesome I will try and convince my son to not pet the fish till he gets a little older to understand then [emoji23] [emoji23]

It's a good idea! Working at the pet store I had to stop a little girl from trying to pet a foot long vampire tetra [emoji37]

If only it were legal to keep Piranhas where I live this could be having a lot more gruesome twist [emoji33] .. lol vampire fish will tear you up if their hungry enough

Everything I've read says if there is another fish that resembles it's shape there tends to be aggression so I would think so if your adding it with another tang I think it's a good idea to keep a eye on it, some people say add the new one at night. Buuuuut I like to watch the fish after I add them so I can keep a eye on them so I don't think I'm going to add mine in before I go to bed

I know everyone has there own taste but I don't think it should be legal to sell them. They get larger then what even a 300 gallon tank is capable of holding humanly. Almost no private person is going to have a 1000+ fresh aquarium.

I had a pair of red belly piranhas for 8 years and they are the most timid fish i have ever seen, they would splash me if i walked to fast near the tank.
Ive always been interested in exotic animals.i had a 17ft bermese python that weighed over 140lbs

Just turn the lights off for that day. It throws the current residents off and gives the new guy a chance to settle. You can periodically check with a flashlight that all is good.

Haha red bellies should be called yellow bellied piranha. They are so timid. Blacks not so much. The vampire tetra just get so big and their bite breaks bone.
