hey all,

researching on the best goby for my tank, and I'd like your help!

I have a 75 gallon, soon to be mixed reef.
Currently I have 2 clowns, 1 exquisite wrasse, 1 red-head solon wrasse, and in QT- a yellow coris wrasse.
I'd like to get another wrasse or two in the tank- haven't decided yet.

I am looking for a goby that will help clean the sand bed, yet, will not make a complete mess of things. One that'd pair with a pistol shrimp, though not required. it's a nice to have.

if there's another san-cleaning fish that would be better than a goby, please do let me know!

thanks in advanced!

Any sand cleaning goby will not pr with a shrimp, they are two different groups of gobies. Just about any goby that cleans sand will also make a mess.

Conchs and nassarius are a good combo to keep the sand clean without making a mess.

I have a wheelers goby/pistol shrimp combo. My wheelers is pretty tame, occasionally my shrimp kicks some sand, but all and all pretty good combo.

I have a pair of antenna gobbies that live with a pistol shrimp. great combo, however, the pistol shrimp goes wilding some nights and makes a big mess.

I have a yellow watchman goby is is cool calm and hides a lot in my rock and sand. I then have a diamond watchman that sand sifts and cleans my sand but he makes a mess moving my sand all over I never know what to expect everyday but I love him he's fantastic
