I have a 5’ peninsula and I’d like to get a gyre pump on the opposite side. Which do your prefer from a functional, longevity and maintenance standpoint?
Thanks!

I prefer the maxspect versions, since you are only doing 1 I am also going with xf350. On my 4 foot tank I run 2 xf330 ramping up and down at a Max of 50% and can see the gyre effect move around the tank, I can do higher power but the bigger the turbulence the noiser it makes my overflow

Thank you. I’m interested in it because I don’t want the Tunze’s running to high and I want some crashing if the flow as well. It’ll be sps so the movement of the gyre flow will also be helpful!

I have two XF350's on my 5 foot tank, I got them for the same price as 330's, to be honest I wish I went with 330's as I do not run them past 30%

I’m worried about the magnets holding. My tank is 3/4”. Anyone how issues with that?

I don’t plan to run them on high speed, I think they’ll push plenty of water from what I read!

Mine are fine with 12mm glass, sorry cannot speak for 3/4.

Specs say .79" for the 350, my 330 is on .5" glass and it holds but it's a bit weak, not enough to worry me but I wouldnt try anything thicker.

Really? On my 4’ tank I run my xf250’s on 100%
I don't know what to tell you, it is pretty much in my post, I do not run them past 30% and wish I got the 330's.
I bought the 350's because I got them for the same price as what 330's would cost.

My tank is also very very very full with a large mushroom box on one end, frag racks that cover the front glass, and rock covering the entire sandbed so that might have a lot to do with it. The tank swallows up flow easily

I have recently bought the Jeboa CP120 crossflow for my 4' 120G, and I'm pleased so far. Quiet and shifts a decent amount of water. No issues with flow to 4', I only run it at about 30-50% typically. They also have a CP-150 with more flow..

I run a single xf330 on a 3ft 75g display at 30%. Its plenty of flow. Powerful things.
