Not quite right. ULR Phosphate (HI774) is PPM. ULR Phosphorus (HI736) is PPB.

I use HI774.

I'm a big hannah guy - I have ALK/CAL/Nitrate currently and plan on picking up a ULR phosphate as well.

To me, despite the longer time to run a test, once you have a solid repeatable methodology (especially for the powder based tests), you can't beat the accuracy and ease of testing.

Yeah tbh the time scale doesn’t really bother me it’s just matching the colours up on some tests that is pretty much impossible and your just guessing at the actually read

The HI774 is the 'improved' verson of the older HI736.

Makes things a lot easier and quicker.

With the calcium. It is a pain. I follow it exactly as described with no issues, though. I recently sent in an ICP and my result was only 6ppm off from the ICP test.

ULR phosphorus checker, Alk checker, Calcium checker, salinity pen, ph pen and looking at the nitrate checker soon.
All perform great, while calcium is fiddly I never have any problems and I'm not too fussed that the nitrate one is even more fiddly.

Ok thanks guys. 1 more question on the phosphate ULR let’s say if your phosphate was over 1ppm would it show error as it only reads between 0 and 0.90 and same for the nitrate test that’s states 0-5ppm if your nitrates were above 5 would it also show error ?

I think it would show an out of range error. I didn’t care about this because I don’t want to be near .9ppm anyway.

Just the phosphorus checker. salifert for nitrate cal and alk because I’m poor the only other I’d consider parting my cash with is the alk checker.
