I'm looking to buy a ALK checker. Which one should I get the HI 772 or the HI755?

Any day they are awesome checkers

The 755 is fine if you already have it, but if buying now, get the new 722.
The latter shows the result in dkh. Why have the extra step of doing the math yourself? Unless you'd rather see the result in ppm.

Closer resolution :)

I keep my alk at 7.7 so what kind of math would need to be done with the 755 ppm

If you want to convert ppm to dkh...
XXXppm multiplied by .056 = XX.XX dkh.

Example: 145 x .056 = 8.12

You'll have to multiply the result/reading by .056 to convert it to dKh.

Edit: What they said, only faster!

Thanks guys I'll de getting the 755 being I like to keep my ALK spot on. That's easy math something I can definitely do[emoji1]

I agree with twillard, I aim for 165. Wouldn't even take note of the dKh but I chart my readings on my Apex and it automatically converts it to dKh. It will also convert ml left if you are using Salifert for things like Ca, NO3, etc.

Didn't even think about Apex converting it for me. So I will have Hanna po4 and ALK checker are there any others that you guys would recommend?
