Hi I need to test the copper in my water which hanna checker do I get high range or low range what’s the difference?

You want the high range, it can read between 0.0 and 5.0 PPM the low range reads parts per billion, to low for therapeutic quarantine treatment using copper power.
Most copper treatments run between .5 and 2.0 depended on which type you get.

Wow I didnt realize there was a low range! The low range would be much better for using ionic copper (cupramine) with a therapeutic range of 400-800ppb (0.4-0.8ppm), with 500ppb being right on (0.5ppm). This would be much more accurate than using the high range. Very cool!

I’m going to be using cupramine- so low range would be ideal for me right? I’m ready to purchase someone just give me the green light

Id say low as if it exceeds the highest range, you know you are getting high.

If you are using cupramine, which I would not recommend, then yes use the low range. It states it has a range of 1-999ppb (0.001-0.999 ppm). You want the instrument to read 500ppb and you are at the therapeutic 0.5 ppm.

However, copper power is vastly superior, wider therapeutic range gives much more lenience with dosing, evap ect. and better tolerated.
