Which Hanna Phospahte checker?

So I decided I’m going to buy the Hanna phosphate checker but the only problem is that I don’t know which one to get. If anyone could help me with this that would be great.

I know it’s a low range but which version of the checker?

I believe the one people used to go for is the phosphorus one but now they have brought out the 774 model which is meant to be the same model but gives the reading in phosphate rather than phosphorus so you no longer have to convert the reading yourself to phosphate.

So the short answer is the 774 model.

the conversion is easy , as well as the test itself .
I wish the powder sachets were a little easier and not spill every tone I open them
Each test requires one for the test after I dump
And spill one

does that model also have the 3 minute timer as in the 774 or is it still 2 minutes? As some people were saying that 2 mins wasn’t enough time for the steps so they upped it to 3 minutes.

I have both i switch from the phosphorus model to the phosphate model. I like it because I can see right away where I stand. If you have an apex they do the conversion for you when you pick your test kit so you don't actually have to do any math. Just pick the test kick and plug the number and it will calculate it for you.

The phosphorus checker is the most accurate at small levels of phosphate. BRS did a comparison video on 3 different test kits . But I have the phosphorus model and it works well.

Ok yeah I’m trying to see what I’m trying to keep in my reef tank. Do you know the recommended amount of phosphate I should have?

After the reagent is added , press and hold the button and it counts from 3:00 before giving a reading

between add c1 and add c2 I haven’t timed how long or if it turns off

I don’t believe the new model was out when that video comparison was made.
