Which iodine product for use with a doser?

I have never checked an iodine level - let alone dosed it. Is there a reason you're thinking you need to?
I came across some posts that were talking about Zoa's liking good iodine levels. My zoas have always been slow growing - so I thought I'd give it a try. (Assuming my iodine levels test low - will be using Salifert to check them)

In that case - I would not use a doser - I would dose a bit per the directions if the level is 'low'.

Let us know if it does anything useful (assuming you change nothing else at the same time). :)

I think there may be something to Zoa's liking Iodine.

I have 7 kinds of Zoa's, all seemed to be doing well except for LA Lakers, which for months has been half open with no growth.

I recently did a ICP test that showed 0 Iodine. So, I started dosing Potassium Iodide, per ESV, and monitoring with a salifert test kit.

After just 3 days, the LA Lakers opened fully, and I swear the other Zoa's look more proud as well.

Perhaps coincidence. Would like to hear if others have observations regarding Iodine

So I just got my Salifert test. I did both tests in the kit and there was zero color showing up in the sample. So... I guess I can try some Potassium Iodide dosing maybe? Little bit - see what happens?
